Two Teams Quirks Finally Get Fixed

If your team relies on Microsoft Teams all day, you know how much those tiny workflow annoyances can add up.

A message sent too early.
Trying to forward a conversation and losing the context.
Stopping mid-thought because the app doesn’t behave the way you expect.

Individually, these moments seem small. But across a busy workday (or a busy team), they can quietly chip away at productivity.

The good news? Microsoft is finally addressing a couple of long-standing Teams frustrations.

You’ll Soon Control What the Enter Key Does

This one has caught almost everyone at least once.

You’re typing a message and hit Enter to start a new paragraph… and suddenly the message sends before you’re ready.

That half-finished thought is now sitting in the chat for everyone to see.

Microsoft is introducing a simple but powerful fix: You’ll be able to choose what the Enter key does.

Instead of automatically sending messages, you can set Enter to create a new line—making it easier to write clearer, more structured messages without worrying about accidental sends.

It’s a small change, but one that many Teams users have been asking for.

Forward Multiple Messages at Once

Another welcome improvement is finally arriving: the ability to forward multiple messages together.

Until now, Teams has only allowed users to forward one message at a time, which makes sharing context awkward and time-consuming.

Now you’ll be able to select up to five messages from a chat or channel and forward them in one go.

That means when you need to bring someone new into a conversation, you can quickly share the important parts without copying and pasting or sending multiple forwards.

Small Fixes. Real Productivity Gains.

These updates might sound minor, but they remove friction from hundreds of tiny interactions throughout the day.

And when Teams is a core communication tool for your business, those small improvements can make collaboration smoother, faster, and less frustrating.

Microsoft continues to refine Teams based on real user feedback, and changes like these show how even small tweaks can improve the daily work experience.
